Robitussin Dry Cough Forte controls coughs for up to 8 hours. It has a throat soothing formula.

Robitussin Dry Cough Forte provides symptomatic relief of dry, irritating and hacking coughs for up to 8 hours in adults and children. Robitussin liquid coats and soothes the throat.

Warnings

If cough persists for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by fever, rash or persistent headache, consult a doctor.

If you have a persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or cough accompanied by excess phlegm, consult a doctor before taking this product.

Do not take this product if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients or if you are taking an antidepressant without first consulting your doctor or pharmacist.

Ingredients

Active ingredient: Dextromethorphan hydrobromide monohydrate 15mg/5mL

Contains: Benzoates, Hydroxybenzoates, Saccharin, Sugars, Sulfites

How it works

Robitussin liquid coats and soothes the throat.  It contains the cough suppressant Dextromethorphan hydrobromide monohydrate to relieve coughs due to minor throat and bronchial irritations as may occur with a cold.

Dosage

Every 6-8 hours orally when necessary.

Adults and children over 12 years: 10mL

Children 6-12 years: 5mL

Children 2-6 years: 2.5mL

Do not exceed 4 doses in a 24 hour period. Not recommended for children under 2 years.
