Chemists Own Heartburn Relief Esomeprazole 20mg Tablets offer lasting relief from frequent heartburn and acid reflux (gastro-oesophageal reflux).

Specially formulated for adults aged 18 years and over, these tablets are perfect for those suffering from frequent heartburn. They provide 24 hour protection from frequent heartburn and acid reflux with one tablet daily. Each pack contains 14 enteric coated tablets.

Warnings

Do not use for children under 18 years of age or if:

• allergic to esomeprazole or any other proton pump inhibitor
• you are taking antiretroviral medicines, such as atazanavir
• you are taking cliostazol a medicine used to treat pain and/or cramping in the lower leg (or arms) due to inadequate blood flow to the muscles
• you are breastfeeding or intend to breastfeed
• the expiry date printed on the pack has passed
• you have or ever have had serious liver disease
• you are taking digoxin (a medicine used to treat heart problems)
• you are taking ketoconazole (a medicine used to treat fungal infections)
• you are taking clopidogrel or warfarin (medicines used to stop blood clotting) •
• you are taking other medicines regularly

Ask your pharmacist or doctor before use if you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant

CAUTION – This preparation is for the relief of temporary and minor ailments and should be used strictly as directed. If symptoms persist or recur within 2 weeks of completing the course, consult your doctor.

Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you are not feeling better or your symptoms worsen while you are taking Chemists' Own Heartburn Relief.

Keep to recommended dose. If an overdose is taken or suspected telephone your doctor or the Poisons Information Centre (Australia 13 11 26) or go to the Accident and Emergency department at your nearest hospital.

Dosage

Adults 18 years of age and over: Take 1 tablet daily for at least 7 days and up to 14 days.

Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Not intended for immediate relief. It may take a few days to achieve maximum results. Do not take for more than 14 days unless directed by a doctor.
