Infant stool softener. Gentle, pleasant tasting constipation relief for children up to 3 years old. Coloxyl Oral Drops is a gentle stool softener formulated for the relief of constipation in children aged up to 3 years.

Warnings

• Drink plenty of water. Increase fibre in your diet except in cases of medication-induced constipation.
• Do not take with other medicines or liquid paraffin, unless advised by a doctor.
• If symptoms persist, seek advice from a health care practitioner.
• Prolonged use is not recommended and may lead to dependence.
• Do not use if cap seal is broken or missing.

How it works

Coloxyl Oral Drops contain the active ingredient poloxamer, which works by drawing water into the stool, making it softer and easier for the child to pass.

Dosage

Infant drops can be administered in water or fruit juice if necessary. Use syringe provided to measure the dose accurately.

• Children under 6 months: 0.30 mL three times daily
• Children between 6 – 18 months: 0.50 mL three times daily
• Children between 18 months – 3 years: 0.80 mL three times daily

After use, replace the cap on the bottle and wash the syringe in warm water and allow to dry (do not boil).
