Overview

Coloxyl with senna is a dual-action laxative, which provides fast relief from constipation within 6-12 hours. It contains two active ingredients: docusate sodium and senna. Docusate Sodium is a stool softener laxative that works by drawing water into the stool, making it softer, while senna is a laxative that stimulates the bowel to help push the stool out

Coloxyl with senna features:

Warnings

• Not recommended for use in children under 12 years.
• Drink plenty of water.
• Do not use when abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting is present, or if you develop diarrhoea.
• Do not take with other medicines or liquid paraffin, unless advised by a doctor.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, seek the advice of a healthcare professional before taking this product.
• Increase fibre in your diet except in cases of medication-induced constipation.
• If symptoms persist, seek advice from a health care practitioner.
• Prolonged use is not recommended and may lead to dependence or serious bowel problems.
• Do not use if cap seal is broken or missing.

Ingredients

Each tablet contains: docusate sodium 50 mg, sennosides 8 mg

Dosage

Adults – Take 1 or 2 tablets at night. Increase to up to 4 tablets if required. Not suitable for under 12 years of age.
