Description

Overview

Rosuvastatin, also known as Crestor, is primarily used to help lower "bad" cholesterol and fats (such as LDL, triglycerides) and raise "good" cholesterol (HDL) in the blood. It belongs to a group of drugs referred to as "statins." It does this by reducing the amount of cholesterol made by the liver. Lowering "bad" cholesterol and triglycerides and raising "good" cholesterol decreases the risk of heart disease and helps to prevent strokes and heart attacks.

Warnings

Always read the label and follow the directions for use. Incorrect use could be harmful, consult your healthcare professional if symptoms persist. Some products require a prescription and are noted as such.
